Halal Pair provides matrimonial, educational, and other services to users around the world. Our Privacy Policy helps explain our information and data protection practices. This Policy details our commitment to protecting the privacy of individuals who use our app (“App Users”), who register to use the products and services which we market for (subscription available at www.halalpair.com) the “Service(s)”. For this Policy, the term, “Website or Mobile Application”, shall refer collectively to Halal Paor users.

In addition to the Website or Mobile Application that links to this Policy, this Policy applies to the following:
HalalPair is a matrimony app for Muslims who are searching for a husband or wife. The app will make the search easy and seamless, it will also protect user`s privacy.
In this Policy, personal information means information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. An identifiable person can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, and online identifier or to one or more factors specific to his/her physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity. The use of information collected through our Service shall be limited to the purpose of providing the Service for which the Subscribers have engaged.
Our Services may contain links to other Website or Mobile Application and the information practices and the content of such other Website or Mobile Application are governed by the privacy statements of such other Website or Mobile Application. We encourage you to review the privacy statements of any such other Website or Mobile Application to understand their information practices.
This Policy includes Account Information (as defined below) and other information we collect in connection with your registration or authentication into our Services (as defined below), security and privacy practices, including how we protect, collect, and use electronic data, text, messages, communications or other materials submitted to and stored within the Services by You (“Service Data”)
3. Information That You Provide To Us
When you register to use Halal Pair’s Services, you will be asked for some general identifying information that will enable us to provide you with this customized service. We gather contact information (such as your name, address, phone number, and email address, and demographic information (like your location, city of residence, gender and date of birth, genotype, nationality, physical features, etc.). We do not share, rent, or sell this information to any third party. If you choose to become a VIP Member, we collect financial information (like your credit card number, billing address, phone number, and expiry date). We will only use this information in the course of providing our Services to you, and will not under any circumstances share such information with third parties.
In certain exceptional cases, If Halal Pair deems it appropriate in its sole discretion, we may also request for a valid proof of identity with or without Photos in them which will be held for a definite time till we validate your account.
If you sign up for a free trial Account, you are not required to enter your credit card information unless and until you decide to opt in or continue with our paid subscription to have access to our VIP Services. Third-party intermediaries are used to manage credit card processing. The intermediaries are not permitted to store, retain, or use your billing information for any purpose except for credit card processing on our behalf.
We will only use your financial information in the course of providing our Services to you. The specific financial information we collect is not rented, sold, or shared with any third party, except to the financial institution that processes your transaction or where required by law. Public information will be available for registered members to view. This includes your demographic information such as gender, age, appearance, religion, occupation, and geographical location. You are required to read the Terms & Conditions to understand your rights, privileges, and obligations while using the Halal Pair services as a free or paying member.
We refer to any information described above as “Account Information” for this Policy. By voluntarily providing us with Account Information, you represent that you are the owner of such personal data or otherwise have the requisite consent to provide it to us.
Other Submissions:
We ask for and may collect personal information such as name and email address from you when you submit web forms on our helpdesk or lead pages as part of our educational and promotional programs when requesting customer support, or otherwise communicating with us.
At Halal Pair, we take your privacy seriously and strive to ensure the security of your personal information. As part of our commitment to safeguarding your data, we have implemented restrictions on the use of screenshots and screen recording functionalities. Currently, these restrictions apply exclusively to Android phones. We want to assure our users that our technical development team is actively working on implementing similar restrictions for iPhone users as well. However, it’s important to note that we cannot take responsibility for any screen recordings that may occur despite our efforts to prevent them. We encourage our users to exercise caution and respect the privacy of others while using our platform. Your trust is paramount to us, and we are dedicated to continually enhancing our privacy measures to protect your information.
Mobile Application:
When you download and use our Services, we automatically collect information on the type of device you use and the operating system version. Some automatically collected information for our mobile applications are as follows :
- Usage and Log Information. We collect service-related, diagnostic, and performance information. This includes information about your activity (such as how you use our Services, how you interact with others using our Services, and the like), log files, and diagnostic, crash, website, and performance logs and reports.
- Transactional Information. If you pay for our Services, we may receive information and confirmations, such as payment receipts, including from app stores such as Google Pay and Apple Pay or other third parties processing your payment.
- Device and Connection Information. We collect device-specific information when you install, access, or use our Services. This includes information such as hardware model, operating system information, browser information, IP address, mobile network information including phone number, and device identifiers. We collect device location information if you use our location features, such as when you choose to share your location with your contacts, view locations nearby or those others have shared with you, and the like, and for diagnostics and troubleshooting purposes such as if you are having trouble with our app’s location features.
- Status Information. We collect information about your online and last logged-in status on www.halalpair.com and its mobile app, such as whether you are online (your “online status”) and when you last logged into your Halal Pair account on our mobile app.

Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies:
We and our authorized partners may use cookies and other information-gathering technologies for a variety of purposes. These technologies may provide us with personal information, information about devices and networks you utilize to access our Website or Mobile Application, and other information regarding your interactions with our Website or Mobile Application. As is true with most Websites or Mobile Applications and services delivered over the Internet, we gather certain information and store it in log files when you interact with our Website or Mobile Applications and Services. We also use mobile analytics software to allow us to better understand the functionality of our mobile application on your device. This software may record information such as how often you use the mobile application, the events that occur within the mobile application, aggregated usage, performance data, and where the mobile application was downloaded from. We do not link the information we store within the analytics software to any personally identifiable information you submit within the mobile application.
5. Information Collected From Other Sources
Social Media Widgets:
The Website or Mobile Application includes social media features, such as the Facebook Like button, and widgets, such as the Share This button or interactive mini-programs that run on our Website or Mobile Application. These features may collect your Internet protocol address, which page you are visiting on the Website or Mobile Application, and may set a cookie to enable the feature to function properly. Social media features and widgets are either hosted by a third party or hosted directly on the Website or Mobile Application. We will automatically send your friend an email inviting him or her to visit the Website or Mobile Application and will store this information to send this initial email, and track the success of our referral program and other marketing activities. 8. International Transfer Of Information Collected
Matican Enterprise Limited is a Nigeria-based company. We primarily store personal information about Website Visitors and Subscribers within the European Economic Area (the “EEA”), the United States, and other countries and territories. To facilitate our global operations, we may transfer and access such personal information from around the world, including from other countries in which the Halal Pair has operations for the purposes described in this Policy. We may also transfer your personal information to our administrators, who may be located in a different country to you. Such countries may have laws that are different, and potentially not as protective, as the laws of your own country.
Whenever Halal Pair shares personal information originating in the European Economic Area (EEA) with a Halal Pair administrator outside the EEA, it will do so based on its approved binding corporate rules known as the Halal Pair Binding Corporate Rules (“Halal Pair’s BCR”) which establish adequate protection of such personal information.
If you are visiting our Website or Mobile Application from the EEA or other regions with laws governing data collection and use, please note that you are agreeing to the transfer of your personal information to Nigeria and other jurisdictions in which we operate. 10. How Long We Retain Your Personal Information:
We will retain your personal information for as long as is needed to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements). When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize it at the end of six months, this will be done upon your request for deletion after you have closed or canceled your account, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store/depersonalize your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.
You can always verify or request the removal of the personally identifiable information we have collected and change your registration information by visiting the appropriate subsection of “Edit Profile” To make changes to your profile, suspend your account, or remove your account completely, you may do so at any time by hiding the profile from “Profile options” page. Once the profile is hidden, you will no longer receive any electronic communication from the site (email or SMS), and no members can view your profile information.
Monitoring And Moderating Online Activity
Our members communicate with each other through the onsite mail. To ensure that Islamic Principles of modesty are maintained we reserve the right to monitor these messages to see if any of our site terms have been broken. Member submissions that appear on the public area of the site are moderated and, if necessary, we reserve the right to edit, delete, remove, or not use any communication on a public area of the site.
